Cutting dies are extremely versatile and can be used for all sorts of products. We want you to get as much value out of them as possible!  Have you ever thought to use a nesting die to make a folding card? We're sharing a tutorial below. Try it out! As mentioned in the title of this post, this technique works with ANY nesting die!

Step 1. Cut a piece of paper the appropriate width for your die.  As for the height, make sure it is double the height of the die.

Step 2. Fold your paper in half vertically.

Step 3. Place your die on the platform (cutting side up)

Step 4. Place your paper so that approx 1/4" of the top of your die is exposed.

Step 5. Place cutting mat on top and run through you die-cutting machine. Enjoy cards like the ones displayed below!

Any good bridal shower starts out with a solid theme.  The theme can be as simple as picking a visual element to carry through your decor.  For this shower, I picked and orange and pink theme (the bride's favorite colors) and used scalloped edges on most of the decor.  My go-to die was one of the new Nesting Dies, the Nesting Lace Circle.  Any Nesting Die provides an excellent base for any party.  It gives the event visual consistency and makes it easy to bring your other ideas to life.  Once I had a good idea of how I wanted the shower to look, I picked my accent shapes.  I chose the Nesting Hearts, Party Flag Inserts, Scalloped Cupcake Liner, and the Petals border die to play with.  Can you spot them in the photos below?

All in all, this shower took me about 1-2 hours to put together. Once I decided on which dies I wanted to use, I purchased some patterned paper and quickly cut out the shapes. All it took was a Nesting Shape and a little bit of planning to make this come together quickly and beautifully! The beauty of buying a few basic dies for party planning resides in the fact that you can use the same dies for your next bridal shower with whatever color scheme you want!

Let's talk about labels and tags. If you're anything like me you're always trying to put a finishing touch on a gift and in the end, scrambling for ideas. It is truly amazing how a cute tag or label can totally transform the look and sentiment of a gift. So why is it always so hard for me to find something simple and easy without having to go out and spend money on something pre-made?  Enter the Possibilities Nesting Shapes. These shapes can literally be used for any project.  Design team member Heather Adams demonstrates this perfectly with her DIY S'more Kits.  She made these as neighbor gifts and everyone in the office has been swooning over the idea since she sent in the project.

The presentation: Heather picked up a take-out box similar to the one for sale here at Garnish.  You could also pick one up at your local craft store or use something you already have.  She designed her label and die-cut it with her go-to shape, the Nesting Frame 6. For a finishing touch, she wrapped a little piece of twine around all of the contents to keep it together. Simple, personal, and adorable.

A look inside: Using a few quotes from the classic movie, The Sandlot, Heather made sure to make her new neighbors feel welcome! Notice that she nested the movie quote card onto the Kraft Media to match the packaging.

The contents:  All you need to complete this gift is marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers.  These items are pretty basic and you might even have them on hand without having to make a trip to the grocery store.

So what do you think? Does this make you want to move into Heather's neighborhood? Would you do this for a new neighbor?  How about for a party favor at a summer birthday?  Or a camping trip?  The possibilities are endless!

Our product development team produced these great designs and thought it would be nice to include coordinating Nesting Leaves that could be used with any flower.  These leaves coordinate perfectly with each size of every flower and provide a lot of variety with 3 different designs.  Below we've posted some photos of different techniques the design team used to incorporate the leaves into the flowers.
