Affiliate Feature: Less Cake More Frosting

One of our affiliates, Lara, from the blog Less Cake More Frosting made an awesome trick-or-treat tote that we wanted to share with all of you! I love seeing projects that I wouldn't traditionally think to make with dies.  This would be a fun and quick project to make before Halloween. She started with one of those collapsible totes you can find at Target or Wal-Mart, added some dies, and ended up with a great container to pass out or collect Halloween candy!

The dies she used:
-Web
-Nesting Frame 5

See her post with insight and instructions HERE.

Be sure to check out her blog, Less Cake More Frosting.  It's jam-packed full of ideas!

Thanks for sharing Lara!

More Halloween Party Ideas

Need more ideas for your Halloween party? If so, you are in right place! Designer Noriko Hondo sent over the rest of her party photos, and we wanted to share her ideas. You can see the party favors for this event here.

Noriko put the Bats die to good use by placing them all over her lamp shade.

She decorated jars full of candy with the following products:
-Nesting Lace Circles
die
-Nesting Circles
die
-Digital Halloween Circle Punches

Have you ever thought to decorate your pumpkins with a hat and mask? I love this idea!  She made the cone out of Hello.Goodbye patterned paper and decorated it with the Splendid alphabet and Bats die. Consider using the Cat Mask digital printable for your mask.

It's easy to make rosettes look fabulous by dressing them up with nesting dies! She layered with the Nesting Lace Circles and accented with the Cat die and the Nesting Ghosts die.

Thank you for sharing your party ideas with us, Noriko!  We hope you were all inspired by her great ideas.

Halloween Party Favors

Today we're sharing some fantastic Halloween party favor ideas. Designer Noriko Honda put together these spooky treat boxes using the following products:

-Cracker Box die
-Dimensional Tree die (the oval scallop piece)
-Nesting Ghosts die

We love the combination of dies she used, but you can use whatever shapes you would like. All you need is some Halloween patterned paper (consider using the WItch's Brew digital papers), a few dies, and some spooky looking chocolate to make this project!

Noriko put spooky eyeball chocolate balls inside of the cracker boxes. They fit perfectly!

She made another version of this favor using the Pilgrim Hat die.  At first glance, this die seems only appropriate for Thanksgiving.  However, it looks fabulous and as a Halloween witch hat!

We hope your Halloween party planning is going well! What are you planning to create for party favors?

Halloween Cards

Today we're sharing a few Halloween cards for you to try. It's always fun to receive a festive card in the mail from a friend or family member, right? These 3 cards are sure to make your friends and family excited about Halloween.

This "Beware" card by Carissa Wiley is so creatively designed. Using a Nesting Circle die and the Witchs Silhouette die, she created a Witch that appears to be flying over the midnight moon. She also incorporated letterpress into this card (the black decorative frame) using the Spooked printing plate. The "beware" sentiment is also letterpressed onto a  on a Nesting Oval and nested on a Nesting Oval Scallop.

This next card by designer Pam Gandolfi is made with dies from the 'Be Spooked' release.  She used the Witch Kit and Splendid alphabet.

This last card is also by Carissa Wiley.  I love the double multi-colored Chevron she made with the Spooked printing plate (we'll post a tutorial showing you how to do this soon).  She also used a Nesting Square Scallop, Nesting Square, and Witch Kit dies.
