Get Inspired: Letterpress Thank-You Card

Today we're sharing a quick letterpress how-to!  We fell in love with this letterpress thank you card the second it reached the office. It comes to us from one of our new design team members, Tiffany Hood. As you'll see below, this card is only a 4-step process! It doesn't get much simpler than that. Don't you love the yellow/gray combination?  Check out the instructions and products used below.

Supplies needed:
Letterpress Starter Kit
Grey Cardstock
A2 Letterpress Paper
Blossoms printing plate
Yellow and Gray Ink
Nesting Circle die

Instructions:
1. Using the Blossoms printing plate and Yellow ink, apply the floral pattern onto an A2 piece of letterpress paper. If you're unfamiliar with how the letterpress technique works, check out these tutorials or this video.
2. Using the 'Thank You' piece that comes with the Letterpress Starter Kit, print the sentiment with Gray ink onto a white strip of letterpress paper. Cut the edges making a simple flag.
3. Using the Nesting Circle die and cardstock, create the layered flower.  Cut out various sizes of circles, then crumple each one up several times to loosen the fibers in the cardstock.  After 4-5 times, the cardstock will start to separate.  Peel the circle, separating the layers, until you now have two circles.  The two insides that were once touching each other now look like "faux suede."  Layer all the flowers on top of each other with all the "faux suede" sides facing up, and crinkle the edges as desired.
4. Assemble all of the pieces using adhesive.

Would you like to see some of our recent letterpress projects that have come in from the design team?  Below are a couple of great cards that we took to display at the stationery show. This first card is by designer Heather Adams.  I love the yellow/grey color scheme and the border die wrapped around the letterpressed card is perfect. The second card is by Carissa Wiley and this card is unique because she used two different colors to print the letterpress pattern.  The grey/pink is so complimentary and I love how striking this card is!  Products used: Letterpress Combo Kit, Blossoms Printing Plate, Petals Border Die, Splendor Printing Plate, Nesting Labels, Grey Ink, Square Flat Card Letterpress Paper

Products used: Letterpress Combo Kit, Bubbly Printing Plate, Blossoms Printing Plate, Grey Ink, Light Pink Ink, Nesting Labels, A2 Fold Card Letterpress Paper

Instructions:
1. Cut one of the Letterpress A2 Flat Cards down to 3.75 x 5 inches.
