Shape 'N Tape

Washi tape is BIG in crafting right now. Decorated with polka dots, chevron stripes, hearts, even underground maps of London, you can get a roll of it in almost any pattern you can imagine.

 Washi tape

We love washi tape, but, with a roll that is only one width, it's pretty limited. So, we set out to create a more versatile washi tape that lets you cut into any shape you want.

And, we did it! Meet Shape 'N Tape! It is the very latest from Lifestyle Crafts, and we are very excited to tell you about it! Some of you may have previewed and even played with the Shape 'N Tape that came with the Knotty and Nice Gift Sets or tried the entire Knotty/Nice Shape 'N Tape pack ... but that was just the begining. We now have ten new varieties of Shape 'N Tape color packs, and they all work with any cutting die!

Washi tape that you can cut with dies!?? Yes please!

Each sheet of Shape 'N Tape is 6" x 12" and is the same texture and thickness as traditional washi tape. Shape 'N Tape has an added removable backing to make it easy for you to cut out with any die your heart desires! Shape 'N Tape comes in 10 different color sets with 5 full sheets of Shape 'N Tape in each. Each color has four patterns that are common among all of the colors and one pattern that is unique to its color. In these photos, the unique pattern for that specific color pack is the top sheet.

Wickedly Simple Projects

October 12, 2012 1:02:00 PM MDT

We've been having a wicked good time creating projects with our newest Tricks 'N Treats release. Here are some fun and simple projects we wanted to share with you.

Check out this spooky scrapbook page and adorable mini witch hat!

Web Die (DC0190)   Jagged Edges Die (DC0374)   Spider Die (DS0365)

Lifestyle Crafts witch hat

We made this mini witch hat using our Nesting Circles Die (L-CC-001). To make it yourself, simply die cut one large and one small nesting circle. Take the larger circle, and cut a straight slit from the edge of the circle to the center. Roll this larger, cut circle into a cone. Fasten it to the smaller circle, and you're done! Super easy and super cute.

A bottle of home-brewed "poison" is sure to add some fright to your fest with its eerie green glow and foreboding skull and crossbones label.

Our squirmy green gummy worms found a lovely home inside a coffin treat box topped with a glow-in-the-dark spider.

DIY Home Decor

July 26, 2012 10:09:40 AM MDT

The popularity of DIY home décor is on the rise, and it’s easy to see why! It allows you to customize your space, and because it’s budget-friendly, you can update your living area as often as you like. Today we wanted to share some decorating tips and inspiration for easy home accents you can create yourself.

Let nature be your guide

The weather is warm, so head outside for some inspiration! Take some close-up photos of animals, trees or even street signs – you can showcase them in a custom frame or transfer the images to paper and embellish everything from fabric to furniture.

Give your furniture a facelift

Don’t retire an old piece of furniture just yet! Some sanding, primer and paint will make it as good as new. You can even decoupage pretty papers to the fronts or insides of dresser drawers and try new knobs to add decorative character.

Revamp your tabletops

Add a custom touch to a simple end table. Place a piece of pretty scrapbook paper under the glass top, and you have created a new, designer look. Customize with a pattern that coordinates with your decor, or change the paper with the seasons!

Find a new use for an old frame

A simple coat of paint can instantly update an old mirror or frame and you can match it to your home decor. Paint the mat inside the frame with chalkboard paint to create a one-of-a-kind message board, or add cork to show off your photos or kids craft projects.

Linda at Craftaholics Anonymous made this super cute speciman art for her home with Lifestyle Crafts' Sweetheart dies.

You could also print out your favorite quote or song lyrics, mount it on patterned paper, and put it inside an inexpensive frame!

These are just few ways you can use your paper crafting talents to spruce up your space! How have you used your craft projects to decorate your home?
